From Biology to SEO: The Story Behind SocialBaddie.com
When I launched SocialBaddie.com, I wasn’t trying to build another marketing blog. I wanted to create a space to document — not success stories or polished strategies, but the real process of learning, testing, and growing in SEO and social media.
Think of it as my digital lab — a place where experiments happen, results are shared, and learning is constant.

From Biology to SEO: A Detour That Changed Everything
My career didn’t start in marketing. I actually graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, dreaming of becoming a doctor. But life had a different plan.
While exploring job opportunities after graduation, I came across a Facebook post looking for a virtual assistant for SEO. At the time, I had no idea what SEO really was — but I decided to take the chance.
That single decision changed my entire path. Through that role, I met Jin Grey, my mentor, who introduced me to the world of SEO and guided me with patience and clarity. She taught me the foundations that shaped how I work today — and from that point on, I was hooked.
What started as curiosity quickly turned into genuine interest — and eventually, passion. Working on real websites, solving real problems, and uncovering how search engines and social platforms actually move made me realize: this is what I want to do.
Why “SocialBaddie” Exists
I created SocialBaddie because I wanted a place to show the learning journey — not position myself as an expert, but as a practitioner sharing the process in real time.
This is where I share:
- The strategies I’m testing in SEO and social media
- Lessons learned from both wins and mistakes
- Experiments on how digital visibility, authority, and growth connect
- Thoughts on building sustainable growth without shortcuts
It’s part portfolio, part experiment log, and part open notebook.
By sharing my messy middle, I hope to save you time, spark new ideas, and help you skip some of the mistakes I’ve already made.
My Approach to SEO and Marketing
Over time, I’ve developed a simple approach that guides everything I do:
- Execution beats theory. The best learning comes from doing.
- Clarity matters. Marketing doesn’t need to be complicated.
- Data tells stories. Numbers reveal truth — feelings don’t.
- Sustainable growth wins. Quick wins fade, but systems last.
SocialBaddie is a reflection of that mindset. It’s about staying curious, testing ideas, and sharing the honest process behind digital growth.
What’s Next
This is just the beginning.
In time, SocialBaddie may evolve into something bigger — from real project case studies to collaborative experiments or service-based offerings. But at its heart, it will always be a space for transparency, learning, and growth in public.
If you’re also exploring SEO, social media, or digital marketing, I hope what I share here helps you in your own journey — or at least reminds you that growth is messy but worth it.
Are you learning in public too? Let’s connect on LinkedIn or Facebook — I’d love to compare notes and grow together.
